I have so many good memories of him,but this tops evrything. In the early seventies while I was studying with him my staccato was so slow I coudn't play anything fast like Beethoven 4th symphony or Mendelssohn midsummer night's dream etc. He tried to help me with many different ways,but my staccato was'nt getting any faster and I was feeling hopeless,then one day he suggest me to develop double tongueing and showed me how to practice it. That moment changed my life. Now I am surving in an Orchestra with a good,fast double stacatto. I am so grateful for that and many otherthings.
I loved him deerly and miss him a lot.
